*Engage the Community
Acts 2: 40-47
The Vision Statement is our guide in every activity/ministry we conduct so as to focus our efforts to accomplish our mission under the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
Exalt (Worship)
Compelling people to acknowledge God’s worth corporately and individually.
Acts 2:43 Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles.
Equip (Discipleship)
The formation of believers into disciples of Christ who out of love are conformed into His likeness, obeying His commands and example as given in Scripture so as to grow and mature in their relationship with Him, producing other disciples who will do likewise.
Acts 2:42 They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
Evangelize/Outreach
Sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with other people such that they believe in Him and are born-again, thereby placing themselves under Christ’s authority as revealed in God’s Word and joining themselves with His church.
41 So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls. … 47 And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.
Encourage (Fellowship)
The sharing of God’s love among church-family members, encouraging and praying for one another to remain committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
46 Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart.
Engage (Service)
Serving church members and the community at large, thereby becoming the hands and feet of Jesus Christ out of love for God and others.
44 And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; 45 and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need.
